Starting....

Summer is finally here!!! School finishes and we start working for the next school.

Since school finished, I have begun to research and get ideas from different places.

Who doesn't love Pinterest???

I have gotten many ideas by rocking teachers who think outside the box.
I found their blogs:

And I starting thinking:
1. They are awesome.
2. Someone else out there does what I do and thinks alike.
3. I should begin sharing for those teachers who need guiding/ideas.
4. I wanted to start a blog before but I didn't make time.

So I took the advice from the blogs and decided to start in the summer.
I have been teaching  students with specials needs for 5.5 years.
I started as a varying exceptionalities teacher for 1.5 years
and then my principal moved me to an ASD cluster.
At first, I was LOST as can be but I got lucky the old teacher
who became the autism coach left me all her stuff when she was in the ASD Cluster.
I still felt lost, but I was very lucky to find a team of people with more experience to guide me.

Once I felt a little more comfort in the class, I decided to do what I do best!
Make everything my own style... and there it all begin and it never stops.

In the four years teaching students with autism KG-5th Grade,
starting with 6 students and last year I had 11-12 students.
Luckily, I have two assistants who are incredible and will always follow my rollercoaster ride.
The levels have been so different that I have had to think often outside the box.
I am always changing things and looking for great ideas.
I hope to inspire, assist or help other teachers as many other have done for me!!!
I will be posting pictures of my previous years and describing the centers.
I may not keep things the same this upcoming year!! :)

See you soon! Natalia
